Yesterday afternoon I found myself with time on my hands, so I decided to finally get around to making a plan for completing the last of our home organizing challenges: the basement. *insert hair-raising scream here* The basement is not horrible, but it’s definitely not something to be proud of. Therefore, I’m officially making June “Love it or Leave it” month.
With our annual neighborhood garage sale around the corner, this is the best time to finally clear out the last of our clutter in order to really begin living a more minimalist lifestyle. The plan is to take a couple of weekends to organize our items into 4 categories: keep, sell, discard or recycle. For the things we keep, they will be organized neatly in bins, labeled and put on shelves for future use. The things we’ll sell will be sorted, tagged and stored together for easy transportation on garage sale day. I’m super excited and can’t wait to see the results! Oh, and hopefully make some money from the garage sale. Cha-ching!
