My Happy Place

Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”   – Mark Victor Hansen

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Mark Victor Hansen; what do you know about my life? You don’t know me and my everyday. You’ve never been a working mother with barely enough time to take a shower and brush your teeth. Get started now? Hmph. Way easier said than done, sir. Your promises of strength, skill, confidence and success sound wonderful, but right now I have to change a diaper, fix dinner and help with homework – all at the same time. So please, mosey on to the next one because this mama can only  wait until things are just right – the perfect time of a late night or early morning. And that’s on a good day.

Unfortunately, I really believed the thoughts above. I kept telling myself, “I’ll have time to “do me” once the kids are a little older,” or “There’s no time to write, read and workout daily. As if!” Fortunately, I’ve realized that I have to make time for what I love, just like I make time for those I love. I just had to make it a priority.

And I have done just that. Welcome to my happy place.

GoBreatheGo is my little corner of the universe where I share my passion for living a simple, happy, and healthy life. With the past year being such a whirlwind – from having a baby to converting to vegetarianism to becoming a simple living enthusiast and promoter (yes, promoter – ask my friends and family) – I have had my share of “AH-HA” moments. I hope my thoughts and experiences can inspire you, just as others continue to inspire me.
