Weird is Good

I’ve always known I was a little different. I knew I had wisdom beyond my years and that some of the topics I’m passionate about just aren’t everyone’s cup of tea – at first, anyway. And, for some reason, I’ve always been OK with that.  I found that the more I accepted my uniqueness and followed what I believed in, the more people came around. They started asking questions about the same topics that once made their eyes glaze over.  The idea of things like wearing their hair naturally, becoming vegetarian, getting rid of debt, or being empowered enough to live their lives regardless of what others thought, started to feel like a birthright, instead of an exception to the rule. That’s the kind of stuff that keeps me inspired. I love that eventually people realize that their authentic selves, who they are underneath all of the thoughts and assumptions, does not require external approval. Craziness, right?

Hell no.

I find more and more of myself the further I travel on life’s winding roads. Isn’t that what it’s all about? And if society thinks my lifestyle is a little weird, that’s totally fine. My soul knows my truth. And that’s all I need to continue on this path. Going deeper and deeper into what I know to be true always keeps me in alignment with what’s best for ME. It also draws the right people into my life at the same time and, honestly, that’s the best part. I love that you’re here with me and we’re on this journey together. And, friends, guess what?

The best is yet to come.
