2013 was a great year. When I say great, I mean EPIC. So many things changed and I grew a lot. The beauty of having a blog is that you can go back and see some of the things you’ve done over the year, things that you might have forgotten otherwise. Even though I don’t write daily, I am surprised to see that I racked up a whopping 71 posts in 2013 — that’s an average of five posts each month or about one post per week. In my world, that’s huge! Being that I don’t really consider myself a writer and I started this blog on a whim, I feel good about my progress.

Reading these posts took me back to when each was written. It’s crazy to see where I was and how far I’ve come. You know what else is crazy? It’s crazy to have a steady group of readers that stop by and read my thoughts about any given subject. You guys are my peeps! I never thought I’d connect with people around the world, but this little ole’ blog has given me that opportunity. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you guys. And guess what?
2014 will be even better.
I’m challenging myself to take this blogging thang more seriously, and that means talking about myself, my family, my passions, my annoyances, MY LIFE, even more. I feel like I’ve been playing it safe on here, and that’s not like me. There are many things on the horizon, and I will be sharing them with y’all. WHEW, CHILE. Things are about to get interesting.
On Tuesday, December 31st, I’ll post my first two challenges. (I not so secretly hope you guys will join in on the fun. Come on, man!) Don’t worry. I’m not going to have us doing anything too crazy. Just be ready to push yourself a little farther than you have before. Let’s make 2014 OUR YEAR. Who’s with me???
Update 12/31/13: Instead of challenging myself I decided to begin practicing joy everyday. Check out how I’m doing that here.
