This is my new chair. It’s on our front porch. I bought it yesterday for this reason: I needed a space of my own. I needed somewhere I can go to breathe, meditate, write, read, sip some tea, stare at the sky and trees, and for anything else that will fill me up. My days are full of giving to others, be it my family, day job, social media platforms, etc., so I needed a place for me. We tend to think we need to spend time and money to get away from it all. However sometimes all we need is to grab a seat outside alone and breathe.
I look forward to spending time outside in my chair for as long as the weather will let me. Maybe I’ll get a wind chime to really set the mood. I don’t know. What I do know is that I need the solace and rejuvenation this chair offers. It’s the simple things that can make the most difference.
