I’m Back to Blogging! | What Happened and Why I’m Coming Back Now

Hey, everyone!

My goodness has it been a long time since I wrote anything for this blog. My last post was a whopping 10 months ago, and so much has happened in that time. Actually, that’s why I haven’t written in so long… finding the time and energy to do it eluded me, even with the best of intentions. Still, I knew something was missing and I had to figure out what it was.

The last year and a half of my life has been a whirlwind to the say the least, and I honestly wish I would’ve chronicled my way through it. As a homeschooling family, no two days are alike, so capturing everything from our mundane days to the most memorable ones is what my heart wants more than anything. I didn’t realize that until I started reading over my older posts in preparation for relaunching this blog. Seeing what we were doing, where we went, and how my babies grew cemented why I’m bringing this blog back to life. I knew I had to get back to writing to make sure I could keep these fleeting moments somewhere, even if it was online for the world to see.

I also wanted to share my journey as a homeschooling mom in a way that I rarely see online. Most homeschooling blogs/vlogs are about the academic side of it. I wanted to give more of a view of the lifestyle homeschooling offers with some “school” sprinkled in. I love to see how other families live while homeschooling, so that’s what you’ll see from me.

So, I’m back, sharing a mix of thoughts, videos, pictures, and other things from my homeschooling life, including motherhood, urban gardening, minimalism, and much more, in my beloved Detroit.

I hope you’ll come along for the ride.
