Welcome to What’s Up Wednesday’s!
What’s Up Wednesday’s is a new way of sharing what’s going on with us, as well as some of the goodness I find in these internet streets. Hope you enjoy!

What We’re Reading
We were on break last week and were pretty busy, so no real reading took place. However, we’re headed to the library this week, so we’ll have some goodies to share next week.
What We’re Watching
I showed my children this short clip of Beyonce and will be adding it to a rotation of inspirational clips to be viewed daily during morning time. I tell them this all the time, but it’s always good to hear it from various sources. Especially when one is Ms. Bey, herself.
What I’m Loving Right Now
I wanted to “Love” this with more than a simple click, alas one is limited on Facebook. It’s so simple yet effective… and practical, too!
I found out about this site in a Facebook group I belong to, and I cannot tell you how happy I am to have stumbled upon it. Math isn’t my strongest subject and my oldest son tends to get bored quickly, so I’m always on the lookout for something that bridges the gap between my lack of enthusiasm for math and anything hands-on and fun that teaches what he needs to know. Enter Prodigy Math.
He’s been using it for a couple of days and loves it. He even wants to play just for fun. Gasp! When I check-in with him, I’m pleased to see that he’s working on some of the topics we have covered but he hasn’t yet mastered as well as new topics. It’s still early so I can’t give a thorough review, but so far, so good.
“Weird” Jobs are the Wave of the Future
When I saw this, I thought to myself, “I’m trying too hard, man.” How cool is this? Brilliant idea, I say!

Next Week’s What’s Up Wednesday Preview
Look out for an overview of our “curriculum” for the 2016-2017 school year (I didn’t get to doing the video for it this week. Sorry!) next week. I’ll also share the inspirational videos’ list I mentioned earlier, too. Talk to you next week, friends!
